A 'lil Surprised just to Make Me Happy on My 23rd

This post should be made last week (straight after my b'day), but I've been busy for the last 2 weeks so I made it today. My birthday is on Sunday, March 22 and I did have a wonderful b'day! Yessss...I spent my day with my beloved ones..Okay, now I'm 23-year-old..yay!! I am proud and happy of being 23 :) I have got my Bachelor degree and also have signed the work contract (though i haven't started working yet but still, categorized as their employee :P). That's enough to make myself complete for now on.

A 'lil surprised from my bf opening my bday. He asked me out to have a b'day brunch without mentioning the place, he said it was a secret. It was so odd. We usually had our b'day celebration on dinner..So I just dressed-up and enjoyed it! fyi, Wilma really loves surprises..^.^

Otw to the secret place, he asked me to not open my eyes. It's so funny and I didn't want to ruin his plan so I kept closing my eyes..On my duty, I felt what the blind men feel. It's so hard to be one of them, you only rely on your feeling. Sometimes it made me a lil headache when it turned to u-turn, turn-left, turn-right, etc..I often asked him would we arrive soon? He answered, almost there..I got wrong way! LOL

Later, he said okay it's the time, open your eyes!
It's Shangri-La Hotel!!! and I directly knew the place..YAY!!! I've been lusting to try this Shangri-La Italian restaurant, Rosso, but haven't found the right time and the money hahahaha. I did browsing and found this rest and they give positive response. I want to eat there! I love Italian food and I really love good food by the way =P I'm in good mood when eating good food :DD we ate like a cow since it is all-u-can-eat high class version hahahaha.

I was sooo happy and sooo surprised he asked me out there on my b'day. I was quite shocked of his surprise and did like udik people go to fancy restaurant =D It's the first time he has a secret place to eat. He always has tons of surprises for me but this way is the newest! He is so romantic :)) luv y..muachmuach..

Rosso Rocks! that represents my feeling..Love the foods, love the ambiance, love the place, love the services, love Rosso!!!...It's really worth!! Go there anytime you feel like dressing up and eating the cosmopolitan way^-^

En Dining

En Japanese Dining Bar is now open at Crystal Lagoon, Senayan City, LG floor.
i haven't tried this one before at EX, guess why?? yes..bcos the place is so classy-expensive looks like and it relates to the 'wallet thing' hahahha. Because of the new opening restaurant, they give 50% promo discount ended last week...yippieee...so last weekend me & bf decided to have our dinner there...it's a rare opportunity!!

The place is located at the special design of Senci, the circle-glass building at the main lobby, the best spot in Senayan City, i guess. At first, I think they build that additional building for just an art reason hehehe, but actually they don't. En's main entrance is from Crystal Lagoon, LG floor. It has two-floor. 1st floor is just like ordinary Japanese restaurant, tables, vip room, and tatami, while the 2nd floor is the Japanese bar. The place is comfy but the chair is not quite comfy enough (some of them are backless chairs). My seat is rather private than public. They are quite large space between one another, so it's a perfect seat for me! no crowded noisy people around us hehehe

The service is excellent. The waiter is easily to find and they are always ready to serve their best to the customer. One waiter poured the sauce to my bowl when he brought our sushi order, it was my 1st experience like tat, i duno if other fancy restaurant served like that hehehe...oh, and they always re-fill my ocha before i asked them to..!! ha.ha.

For the food, this time we start with our fav Jap appetizer, Chawanmusi. It is steamed egg custard with mixed of chicken, shrimp, mushroom, and don't know exactly the others. It is YUMMYYYY...this one comes to my number 1 list, beat one in Sumire.

I continue with the sushi, since i'm not a fan of raw food, i ordered California Rolls and Tiger Rolls..both of them are TASTYYYYY....it's so fresh..the rice, and all the topping is really fresh and crispy when u bite 'em...i like both!! This is like in Rakuzen's, maybe better...

I also wana try the ordinary Jap food, Chicken Katsu, again...it's DELICIOUS.. even if it's just ordinary chicken katsu but they cook it in their own way. crispy yet tasty!!!!!!!! plus the LIP-SMACKING sauce, it's just like liquor-sauce and there's sesame on the top. i'm not good at explaining the ingredients tho hahahha..I'm starving at that time so i also ordered this expensive Gohan (it costs 12k) in completing my Chicken Katsu.Katsu Chicken (58k)

My bf's choice for the main course is Crab Chahan. It is Japanese fried rice covered with crab soup and soft shell crab on top. I guess it is 'kepiting soka'. It is DAMN GOOD....and quite big portion..!!Crab Chahan (85k)

We chose macha ice cream for dessert. This green tea ice cream is average, not as special as the food i ordered. It's better Cream&Fudge's n Haagen Daaz's.

We were very very full..these sluruppp yummy food are really worth! aside from the price, it's a bit overprice, but hey..it's 50% disc hahahaaa...We're fully satisfied when paying off the bill..
En Dining is surely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Jakarta.

Fusion Sushi Platter @ Takigawa

Last weekend, after whole morning spent at campus meeting my lecturer for discussing my intercollegiate paper, me n my bf decided to go to Senayan City. As we wanna go to XXI, we passed by Takigawa Japanese restaurant. It's not our 1st time walking past it, but it's our 1st time seeing that 50% f&b disc banner using ABN AMRO cc. *blink-blink* well, i haven't tried this resto b'cos it doesn't attract me from the outside. So i just ignoring it. But this time, with the "iming-iming" 50% disc, i asked my bf to eat there and try something new..hahaha quite 'basi' i know! so we entered this resto n picked the window seat..

Well, anyway, i stucked on fusion sushi platter. It has 3 thumbs up. Actually it's only the combination of 5 fusion sushi on the menu which serves 3 pieces/each kind of sushi, and i think it belongs to the top sushi there. and b'cos i was starving at that time, haven't eaten anything yet from the morning, so i wanted to order this^^. *rakus mode on* While my bf wanna try something unique, Kamameshi-Takigawa which also has 3 thumbs up. It is steamed rice in traditional Japanese pot with various ingredients and lots of sluruuuppp seafood at the top in the picture. cooking time: 20 minutes.

After a while, the sushi came first. it serves in a big plate and looks nice..maybe b'cos i was starving..it looks like an ordinary sushi now hehehe :P Know what, in the menu it is written 15 pieces combination of sushi. However, we got 4 pieces/each..it means 20 pieces of sushi...lucky us! :D

i like this one better! it has hot green chili inside the seaweed that makes the taste unique! chili sushi...yummy!!

Kamameshi - Takigawa (65k):
eel, crab, salmon, scallop, prawn, chicken, and vegetables steamed rice.

All mixed up with the rice crust and eat in the Japanese lil bowl behind the pot.
The taste is just average, not too special, we think..and the jumbo seafood in the picture, it's fake, they chopped the seafood into pieces.

For me, today's winner is Hot & Sexy roll..chili sushi..Yummy!!! the others' taste are quite the same with another japanese sushi i think. i wanna try the dessert next time,, it looks like nice but i can't make it for this time b'cos we both overly full. Overall, we like the food and we'll come back soon before the promo ends hahaha b'cos it's a bit overpriced without the promo for that taste, esp the kamameshi :P
