Welcoming Christmas 2008..

December,
it's my favorite time of the year. Rain is falling n the weather becomes windy, although there's no snow falling in this country, but the windy weather is enough to make me happy hihihi

Christmas is near and is coming..
Since i was a child, i used to celebrate Christmas every year and my parents always making this moment so special in their own way. I miss those moments i can share, laugh, and celebrate Christmas with all my dearest little family (mom, dad, and two of my elder sisters) in my hometown, Sukabumi...it's a nice memory will always be stored in my heart.

Everything is different when we entering December. The Christmas decorations are everywhere, the songs, the events, and the feeling of my heart...oh can't describe it but i'm very happy to welcoming Christmas =)

This year, my happiness begins with i get back my dad's Christmas songs. The Carpenters!!!! It's my favorite Christmas songs everrrr...my lovely bf searched n downloaded esp for me^^ thanks to you babe..u always know how to make me happy :')i only have the cassette belongs to my dad since he was young. I always listen to it every year. It reminds me of my childhood Christmas and its feeling...For some people their songs are old-fashioned but for me it's still up-to-date and will always be in my heart for my entire life. I have memorable Christmas moments in all Carpenters' Christmas songs.
A few years ago i lost it and so sad i can't find everywhere bcos it's soooo olddd!!! no one sells it. Luckily i got it now...and can't stop listening to it :)

My top eight of The Carpenters:
1. Merry Christmas Darling
2. Christmas Waltz
3. Christmas Songs (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)
4. Sleigh Ride
5. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
6. I'll be Home for Christmas
7. Winter Wonderland / Silver Bells
8. It's Christmas time
(ups..hard to delete one of them from my fav songs ever :P)

Actually for Christmas songs, i prefer the old ones than today's collection. And Carpenters' is not out-of-date..i bet u'll get the peaceful of Christmas when hearing to it.
Happy listening to you!

i love Friday!

In the middle of my shopping time with my mom n sis, the same woman from RBS Bank called me. She invited me to have another test, SHL, kind of IQ test, on Monday. Ehm...it means i passed yesterday's EPT :P yippeeee! I don't imagine this quite fast. okay, I passed the EPT and i'll have another problem, SHL. Gosh, i have tried it once months ago and it was difficult!! i don't like it hiks..but i have to...help meee help meeeeeeeeee......
Hm..let's see on Monday. I'll do my best!

Honestly, I'm not really interested in hearing this news TONITE bcos i was shopping at that time hahaha doesn't mean i'm not happy but i enjoy shopping better than anything..yepsss...oh i love shopping a lot!!! so i have to work hard for fulfilling my desire hehehe meaning that i have to pass this SHL test so that i'll get the job! Go on girl...

Talking about shopping, today is the last day of Debenhams' sale at The Hall, Senayan City 8th floor. It's really bargain..Swatch 30% off (usually never on sale), but unfortunately there're some watches left T_T and there still many items and brands are on sale, big sale, most of them 50% off. i regret just come today. should come in the beginning of the sale, the items are still hot hahaha
oh...i love this Friday :')

EPT?

I was enjoying my free-lazy day when suddenly i got a phone call from RBS Bank (formerly ABN AMRO Bank) informing that i will have an English Proficiency Test tomorrow at 8 a.m. at LIA Pramuka as my 2nd round..(it means i passed the 1st round, 1 on 1 interview few weeks ago...yippieee)

Okay, what is EPT actually?
Is it like TOEFL test? i dunno exactly what it is whereas i am the alumnus of English Department, quite embarrasing tho :P. so i called LIA, asked about it and i searched on google..and there it is..it's actually the same kind with TOEFL test. EPT has 4 levels: elementary, intermediate, high-intermediate, and advance. Lemme think, maybe for a job seekers, we belong to either the 3rd or 4th group bcos as i tried the online test, the topics and languages are quite different from TOEFL test. It's about business world..

After i tried several tests, the results are around 75...*sigh

So tonite i just ehmmm...need a beauty-sleep...cos it needs high-concentration when u do the test. also, i don't know where LIA Pramuka is (it's farrrrrr from here) so i have to go earlier in the morning, hope there'll be no morning traffic, and wish the taxi driver knows directly the place :')
g'nite everyone...

Intercollegiate Seminar 2008

Intercollegiate Seminar is English Department of Atma Jaya University's annual event. This year it is held on 21-22 November 2008. There are 25 papers to be presented from various universities: Atma Jaya, Bina Nusantara, Indonesia University of education, Widya Mandala, Maranatha, State University of Jakarta, and Sanata Dharma University. Fyi, i am one of the presenters :P well, it doesn't come from my deepest heart, it comes from my lecturer's offering and a bit forcing hehehe..

eniwei, i got the schedule to present my paper on the 2nd day at 10.30 - 10.55 but i did it more or less for only 15 - 20 mins including the FAQ :P i'm lazy to re-make my presentation, so i just present the original i used for my defense hihihi and luckily i can answer all the questions HA.HA dunno whether my answers are clearly satisfied or not =p

As a presenter, we have to sign the attendance before entering the room and we got an Atma Jaya paper bag containing a bundle of our papers, a pen, and a note, all in UAJ mode on. There was 4 session that day. The first 2 session was held before lunch time and the rest was after lunch. We also got snacks twice. The audience weren't many. I think 90% are Atma Jaya students. yeah, u know, just a small amount of people who like attending the seminar events rite?? hehehe As for me, i don't like to attend this kind of event. it's just so boring i think...zzz...so sleepy and it makes me got headache :'( but i was still in the room until the end of the seminar bcos one of my friend presents hers after lunch session so as good friends...suit..suiw..we are there to support her :)

The event closed at 3 p.m. and i got the certificate as a presenter...ehm...maybe this is the one that makes me happy to be the presenter :D

After whole boring day, me n my closed friendswent to Grand Indonesia, kongkow-ing n window shopping, cos they'll have midnite shopping...yeay!! It re-charges my spirit and loses my headache hahaha
Thanks to Intercollegiate Seminar 2008!

Prepare myself..

Tomorrow i have to attend Intercollegiate Seminar and present my paper. I don't have any excitement for this event, maybe it's all because i have to go back to my paper and study it well and prepare them well..*fiuh* There'll be Q&A session, and if i can't answer it...wohohoooowww...'apa kata dunia?!!!' i hv to do my best, i guess.

Now i'm preparing my speech and it seems that i can't remember all of it well..my defense was almost 3 months ago and i never look back at my paper since that. Now i have to study over again. Oh my...what should i do? i have to go teaching in the afternoon and it seems i only have little time to prepare it..
hehehe i think i'll bring some notes as a 'contekan' if i forget some :P tricky mode on :D

so, wish me luck everyone...
